About the event

Award-winning author, journalist and former television host jonetta rose barras explores the intersection of arts, culture and politics with some of the country's creative thinkers and change-makers in an intimate virtual conversation. Her guest August 27 is Dr. Tracie Robinson, president of Essences of Wellness, intraspersonal psychology expert and dance therapist. Former First Lady Michelle Obama isn't the only person suffering a sort of low-grade depression. She and other women are likely carrying the greatest burdens and stresses during this era of COVID-19. Consider that in the black community, most families are headed by single women. Robinson will examine the impact of the novel coronavirus on the health and welfare of people of color, particularly African Americans, while offering a prescription for coping and excelling during the current difficult challenges.  Join barras and Robinson as they explore the politics of COVID-19 and how women of color can excel during these difficult times.
